Espresso Theology is a blog by Sam Chan.

It gives you a short, quick buzz of theology by introducing your world to Jesus in 60 seconds.

This site also contains links to other talks, videos and books by Sam.

Sam is a theologian, preacher, author, evangelist, ethicist, cultural analyst and medical doctor.

Sam was born in Hong Kong, grew up and lives in Australia, studied medicine at the University of Sydney, and did his PhD in Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS), Chicago, USA. His PhD was supervised by Graham Cole.

His book - Preaching as the Word of God - applies speech-act theory to the theology of preaching. It has been endorsed by Kevin Vanhoozer, Don Carson, Abe Kuruvilla and Phil Campbell.

He is a public speaker for City Bible Forum. He works as a doctor at the Hospital for Specialist Surgery. He attends West Sydney Chinese Christian Church.

Sam is hopeless at taking out the garbage, boiling an egg, rugby, dancing and karaoke - but he does know all the words to Billy Joel's Piano Man (or maybe just the chorus).

You can see Sam in action with City Bible Forum on this video:
